the snow began about 10 days before Christmas
-- and every day it kept falling and falling and falling.
Some days we could not see our neighbors for the snow falling.
It was beautiful, it was exciting to think we would have a white Christmas
-- our last white Christmas was years ago!!
But when we get snow in the Seattle area, everything comes to a
screeching halt - you see we do not normally have more
than 10" of snow a winter and that 10" is divided over 4-5 snow falls.
We don't have snowplows to speak of, we do have lots of hills,
we do have lots of drivers who do not have a clue how to drive in the snow!
It was chaotic, it was exciting, it was exhausting trying to
plan the holidays, food, who could possibly get out, who couldn't.
Our decorations were up till almost the middle of January
because presents were still under the tree!
In the end, at our home had 28 inches of snow!
Regardless we had fun during this past extended holiday season!
